Silver rings are made using precious sterling silver. Sterling is the term used to define the highest standard for measuring silver. Specifically, it is an alloy consisting of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. This mixture of metals has led to the mark a€?.925a€? which is used by most manufacturers, including Covenant, to designate the purity of their silver products. After polishing, the rings are electroplated with a layer of precious rhodium, which gives them the look of white gold or platinum, and eliminates tarnishing.
